About the role:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated AWS Infrastructure Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining core AWS services, ensuring high availability, and optimizing infrastructure to support complex, large-scale systems. You will play a critical role in maintaining the health of our systems, managing containerized workloads, and implementing robust security measures.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage AWS Services: Oversee core AWS services such as EC2, EKS, S3, KMS, and CloudWatch.

  • Kafka Management: Implement and manage Kafka clusters for high availability and performance, using Kafka MirrorMaker for data replication.

  • Security: Ensure TLS/SSL mutual authentication and encryption for Kafka communications, manage AWS KMS for encryption.

  • Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain Terraform configurations and reusable modules for AWS resources.

  • CI/CD Automation: Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD and Jenkins for automated deployments.

  • Monitoring & Logging: Set up monitoring and alerting using AWS CloudWatch and Datadog to ensure system health and performance.

  • Service Mesh: Implement and troubleshoot Istio for service-to-service communication and authorization. 

Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS services including EC2, EKS, ECR, VPC, CloudWatch, and KMS.

  • Strong experience in managing and implementing Kafka clusters and utilizing Kafka MirrorMaker for data replication.

  • Proven expertise in implementing Terraform for Infrastructure as Code and managing containerized workloads with Kubernetes (EKS).

  • Experience working with Istio for service mesh management and troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like ArgoCD and Jenkins, with experience in automating deployments.

  • Proficient in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

  • Strong understanding of AWS networking, including VPC, subnets, security groups, and transit gateways.

  • Experience with AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, and logging frameworks for monitoring and alerting.

  • Hands-on experience with containerization, Kubernetes (EKS), and managing ECR for image management.

  • Expertise in mTLS, TLS/SSL mutual authentication, and encryption practices for secure communications.
