About the employer:

Responsibilities:

  • experience in designing and implementing new features in Guidewire PolicyCenter, especially in product configuration, rating, document flow, and REST API integrations,
  • lead and mentor a development team, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and agile methodologies,
  • drive technical strategy and decision-making, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency in software development,
  • support and maintain the existing platform with a strong focus on code quality and solution design,
  • collaborate with business analysts, testers, product owners, and delivery managers to ensure smooth development processes,
  • fix defects and reduce technical debt to maintain a stable and efficient system,
  • create and maintain technical documentation for new and existing features,
  • manage and optimize development workflows in Azure DevOps,
  • build strong relationships with workstream colleagues and senior stakeholders to drive transparency in program workloads, financials, and commitments,
  • actively participate in Scrum events such as Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Retrospectives, and Refinements,
  • facilitate team growth and performance reviews, providing guidance and support to junior and mid-level developers.

Requirements:

  • at least 5 years of hands-on experience in configuration of Guidewire PolicyCenter, with strong understanding of product configuration and rating management,
  • good understanding of OOP principles, design patterns and focus on clean code and quality,
  • good understanding of REST API standard from provider/consumer perspective,
  • understanding of SQL database principles,
  • fluent English and communication skills,
  • eager to learn new technologies and solutions,
  • experience in working with project/product delivery Scrum teams as a developer,
  • problem-solving, issue resolution, being proactive, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment with attention to detail,
  • familiar with other Guidewire centers,
  • experience working in consulting, delivery, or IT company, especially in the field of non-life insurance,
  • experience working in a distributed, international team.
