Program Delivery Principal Engineering

Responsibilities:

• defining the strategic goals, rollout approach, and technical roadmap for a centralized development platform that enables efficient, scalable engineering,
• advising on the adoption of industry-standard practices to enhance the platform’s performance, usability, and maintainability,
• coordinating stakeholder onboarding and enablement processes to ensure smooth integration with the platform,
• establishing feedback mechanisms that drive continuous improvements based on real-world developer input,
• supporting the adoption of modern engineering practices to accelerate software delivery across distributed teams,
• promoting the integration and effective use of AI-assisted development tools to increase productivity and reduce cycle time,
• recommending enhancements to test automation strategies to improve software quality and test coverage,
• ensuring CI/CD pipelines are optimized for rapid iterations and safe, reliable deployments,
• conducting in-depth analysis of critical delivery bottlenecks and proposing actionable solutions,
• aligning technical decision-making and problem-solving with program objectives and delivery schedules,
• identifying recurring technical issues and driving consistent, cross-team resolution patterns,
• leveraging insights from escalations to refine and improve structural processes and workflows.

Requirements:

• willingness to travel for business trips to Germany,
• hands-on experience in software development, including work on large-scale and complex projects,
• proven background in platform development and a track record as a principal or senior-level engineer,
• deep knowledge of public and/or private cloud platforms, including their architecture and core building blocks,
• strong experience with infrastructure operations in large-scale cloud environments,
• solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and Scrum practices,
• hands-on experience in IaC using tools like Terraform and Helm,
• expertise in designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines, including build, deployment, and image scanning processes,
• experience with infrastructure automation, DevOps principles, and observability solutions,
• familiarity with container orchestration using Kubernetes, as well as IAM and RBAC concepts,
• background in implementing and maintaining test automation frameworks integrated into CI/CD workflows,
• experience with monitoring, performance optimization, and improving overall system reliability and customer experience,
• strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills,
• excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English (min. C1 level),
• proficiency in project management tools such as Jira and Confluence,
• ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
