Azure Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities:

• design and implement infrastructure and services within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem,
• oversee and maintain cloud environments to ensure high availability and top performance,
• set up and administer network components such as Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups, VPN gateways, and Load Balancers,
• manage and configure Azure compute, web, and storage resources, including Virtual Machines, App Services, and Storage Accounts,
• use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform to automate deployment processes,
• manage and support continuous integration and delivery workflows using platforms like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions,
• uphold security and compliance standards by configuring access controls, applying policies, and enforcing encryption,
• plan and implement data protection strategies, including backup and disaster recovery, with tools such as Azure Backup and Site Recovery,
• diagnose and fix issues involving Azure services and infrastructure,
• work collaboratively with teams across development, architecture, and security to ensure cohesive cloud operations,
• create and maintain clear documentation outlining cloud architecture, operational procedures, and best practices,
• monitor and optimize the use of cloud resources, managing costs effectively with Azure Cost Management solutions.

Requirements:

• skilled in deploying and managing Azure services such as Virtual Machines, App Services, and Storage solutions,
• practical experience with Azure networking components, including Virtual Networks, Subnets, Network Security Groups, Load Balancers, and VPN Gateways,
• working knowledge of Azure Active Directory and managing permissions through Role-Based Access Control (RBAC),
• comfortable using tools like Azure CLI, PowerShell, and the Azure Portal for managing cloud resources,
• understanding of monitoring tools within Azure, including Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, and configuring alerts,
• experience creating and managing infrastructure through code using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform,
• capable of scripting and automating processes using PowerShell or Azure CLI,
• familiar with continuous integration and deployment using Azure DevOps, including release pipeline configuration,
• basic knowledge of containers (Docker) and orchestration using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS),
• able to apply security recommendations provided by Azure Security Center,
• knowledge of governance tools like Azure Policies and Blueprints to enforce standards,
• understanding of network security principles, including firewall configuration and identity protection,
• proficient in configuring logging, monitoring, and alert systems for Azure-based environments,
• very good knowledge of English.
