Responsibilities:

• lead planning efforts, resource allocation, and prioritization discussions with both business and technical stakeholders,
• define epics in Jira and oversee the quality of deliverables from concept to production,
• engage in quarterly planning, working closely with peers to eliminate roadblocks, manage trade-offs, and secure resources for successful project execution,
• work closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and analysts to shape the product roadmap and develop the necessary technology to bring the vision to life,
• provide clarity in ambiguous situations to enable faster, principle-based decision-making,
• attract, hire, and develop diverse, globally-minded teams, ensuring a strong leadership pipeline,
• inspire and support full-stack engineers through personalized coaching, feedback, and mentorship,
•  partner with product and platform teams to establish strategic priorities and roadmaps for machine learning initiatives that enhance credit evaluation capabilities,
• guide and support team members through continuous feedback and performance development conversations, helping them maximize their impact,
• foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where every team member feels respected, valued, and empowered to contribute.

Requirements:

• hands-on experience in machine learning engineering, including at least 2 years in a leadership role,
• deep knowledge of machine learning techniques such as Generalized Linear Models, Gradient Boosting, Deep Learning, and Probabilistic Calibration,
• advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in large-scale distributed systems like Spark or Ray,
• proven ability to design, develop, and scale machine learning models from concept to real-world business impact,
• ability to synthesize complex business, product, and technical requirements into high-quality system designs and software solutions,
• passion for working closely with Product, Design, Analytics, and Business teams to drive impactful solutions,
• a track record of hiring, mentoring, and growing diverse engineering talent,
• comfortable navigating ambiguity with strong self-awareness to drive clarity and direction,
• experience in building and optimizing distributed platforms with high availability, resilience, and strict SLO objectives,
• background in fintech or retail is a plus.
