Platform Engineer

Responsibilities:

• designing, deploying, and maintaining robust Confluent Kafka infrastructures to enable high-performance, low-latency data streaming solutions,
• configure and oversee core Kafka ecosystem components, including Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, Schema Registry, and Zookeeper,
• work closely with software development and infrastructure teams to ensure the streaming platform meets scalability, reliability, and performance requirements,
• continuously monitor the Kafka environment, diagnosing and resolving system-level issues to maintain platform health,
• lead initiatives around automation, observability, and implementation of engineering best practices to optimize the streaming architecture.

Requirements:

• demonstrated practical experience working with Kafka and the Confluent ecosystem in complex, large-scale production environments,
• solid knowledge of distributed system architecture and real-time data processing concepts,
• familiarity with key components of the Kafka stack, including Kafka Connect, Zookeeper, Kafka Streams, and Schema Registry,
• skilled in designing and deploying fault-tolerant, scalable streaming data solutions,
• strong analytical and communication abilities, combined with a proactive mindset toward optimizing system performance and reliability,
• very good knowledge of English.
