Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of annual financial statements for designated entities in accordance with legal requirements and cooperation with external auditors.

  • Preparing tax declarations and supporting the tax department with corporate income tax calculations.

  • Creating reports for works councils.

  • Participation in quarterly closing processes, implementing and maintaining internal controls for key accounting processes.

  • Ensuring compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements.

  • Month-end closing for responsible entities, including currency revaluation and foreign exchange difference analysis.

  • Preparation and execution of monthly reporting activities.

  • Analysis, reconciliation, and control of general ledger accounts and cost centers, including payroll postings.

  • Resolving current issues and participating in ad hoc projects.

  • Preparing SOX-compliant controls and statistical reports.

  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proposing and implementing improvements in systems and procedures.

 

 

Requirements:

  • University degree in a relevant field or appropriate certification.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an international environment.

  • Experience in preparing annual financial statements (partial experience is also welcome).

  • Very good command of Dutch and English (minimum level B2).

  • Excellent communication skills enabling collaboration with people at various levels of the organization and in different locations.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.

  • Proactive attitude.

  • Knowledge of SAP (preferred).

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
