Software Engineer (Java)

Responsibilities:

• develop and maintain robust Java Spring Boot applications tailored to client needs, ensuring high performance and scalability,

• collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and prioritize business and technical requirements,

• take part in designing and implementing cloud-native solutions optimized for Kubernetes-based deployments,

• define and promote development best practices, actively engaging in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions with the team and stakeholders,

• perform in-depth technical analysis to troubleshoot production issues and propose effective, long-term solutions,

• design and integrate automated testing strategies while setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes,

• continuously explore and adopt the latest advancements in cloud computing, microservices architecture, and container orchestration to enhance system efficiency and reliability.

Requirements:

• proven experience in secure coding, testing, and deploying Java applications (Version 8 and above),
• strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and the Spring framework, with hands-on experience in developing SOAP and RESTful services,
• practical knowledge of database technologies such as MS SQL, DB2, and Oracle,
• proficiency in version control systems like GitHub and Bitbucket,
• experience with build automation tools, including Maven and Gradle,
• familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins Pipelines, and Docker,
• understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud,
• knowledge of agile software development methodologies and best practices,
• experience with front-end technologies and Kubernetes is an advantage,
• background in Life and Annuities Insurance is a plus,
• professional-level English proficiency is required.
