About the employer:

An international company in the automotive industry, specializing in polyurethane foam components and upholstery for vehicle interiors. The company supplies global car manufacturers with innovative, high-quality solutions that focus on comfort, safety, and sustainability. Metal components also play a key role in the production process, integrated into advanced automotive interior systems.

Responsibilities:

• developing and implementing purchasing strategies for the metal commodity,
• defining the supplier list for sourcing processes,
• negotiating raw material prices and bonus agreements with strategic suppliers,
• supporting strategic business acquisitions and related projects,
• conducting cost analyses and benchmarking activities,
• negotiating and concluding framework and individual agreements,
• cooperating with the quality department during supplier audits,
• identifying market risks (bottlenecks, financial situation of suppliers),
• participating in insourcing, outsourcing, and resourcing projects,
• close cooperation with the operational purchasing team and other departments,
• achieving purchasing objectives in terms of savings and working capital.

Requirements:

• several years of experience in strategic purchasing, preferably in the automotive industry,
• experience as a strategic buyer or commodity buyer,
• strong negotiation skills,
• experience in cost analysis and cost estimation,
• excellent communication and presentation skills,
• ability to work under pressure and independently manage tasks,
• strategic and analytical thinking,
• very good command of English 
• proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems, preferably SAP,
• category B driving license.
