About the employer:

Our client is a leading manufacturer of surfactants and chemical products, specializing in solutions for various industries, including personal care, detergents, industrial cleaning, textiles, and agrochemicals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales of surfactants or polyols in France
  • Supervise and manage sales team (currently one person)
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Identify client needs and initiate new product development accordingly
  • Explore new market opportunities and take appropriate steps to capitalize on them
  • Regularly visit customers in the region, attend trade fairs, and participate in industry-related activities to gather market intelligence and engage directly with clients
  • Prepare sales forecasts, conduct sales analysis, and develop action plans
  • Negotiate sales terms and contracts, and acquire new clients
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers, Application Managers, Product Managers, and R&D teams to support new product development

Requirements:

  • Experience in sales of surfactants or polyols in France
  • Experience in team management
  • Background in chemical education
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the chemical market
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and French
  • Ability to adapt to customer requirements
  • Willingness to travel within the France and work in an international environment
  • Residency in France
